The Janice Marshall Stage School Faculty
Antonia started dancing at the age of 3 at the Janice Marshall Stage School where she completed her graded examinations at RAD Ballet and excelled at ISTD Modern Theatre and Tap.
Antonia passed her professional levels in Modern & Tap and now teaches ISTD Tap for all graded and professional levels. She also has a special talent working with pre-school ballet, tap and theatre classes.
Antonia's love and enthusiasm working with children reflects on the excellent results her pupils achieve at all levels.
Registered Teacher of the RAD and ISTD (Assistant)
Elizabeth has been a member of the staff at the Janice Marshall Stage School for the last 40 years. She was trained at the Lillian McNeil School of Dance in Glasgow where she gained all her Ballet, Modern and Tap certificates.
Elizabeth has a natural flair for working with young children, she nurtures and encourages them in all aspects of their training and in return receives very high results. She also teaches ISTD Tap and RAD Ballet classes and is in charge of the Dreghorn branch.
Tracy Nelson joined the Janice Marshall Stage School in 2008. She is now co-director of the Musical Theatre Department.
Tracy qualified from Strathclyde University with a B.A. Honours in Applied Music
She teaches Musical Theatre in various schools throughout South Ayrshire and has also worked with StageCoach Theatre Arts in Glasgow.
We are very privileged to have her on board at the Stage School. The students love her energetic manner and humourous method of teaching.

Modern Jazz & Tap
Melanie has always had a love and passion for dance and has been dancing since the age of 3. She started at her local dance school and at the age of 18 continued her studies at Bird College where she graduated with a National Diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre.
After graduating, Melanie immediately went into teaching, teaching RAD and ISTD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Jazz at various schools. She has gained her DDI in both Tap and Modern and is now working towards the final parts of her DDE.
Elayne started dancing at the age of two, attending a local Royal Academy of Dance School. At the age of 11 she then gained a place at the Dance School of Scotland to begin full time training. Elayne gained Distinction in in all her RAD Exams up to Advanced 2 which allowed her to compete in the renowned Genee International Ballet Competition. Elayne was also a Junior and Senior Associate of Scottish Ballet.
In 2015 she graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a BA Degree in Modern Ballet. On graduating, Elayne was selected by the Dance Director of Scottish Ballet to join the Company as an Artist and joined them on tour for The Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet and Cinderella.
Elayne then went onto complete her Certificate of Ballet Training Studies with the Royal Academy of Dance. Elayne is also an Associate of the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance.
Throughout this time, she continued to enjoy competitive highland dance and won several Championship titles over the years including Scottish, British and European Championships. Elayne joined the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Dance Company in 2015 and continues to enjoy performing all around the world.
Elayne loves teaching and hopes to pass on her love of dance and to inspire the next generation of dancers.
Boogie Babies, Nursery, Pre-School & Adult
From the age of 3, Vanessa attened the Janice Marshall Stage School and gained Intermidiate Level in RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern and ISTD Tap.
She then studied at Anniesland College, now Dance Studio Scotland, for 3 years and graduated with a Diploma as a Dance Artist. To further her dance qualifications, she trained as a Dance Leadership Tutor with Sports Scotland and also became an instructor for Burlex Fitness LTD.
Vanessa has experience in delivering dance within the education sector as well as in the community. She is passionate about dance and wants to inspire young people to be creative and explore the world of performance.
Showtime Youth Theatre & Stretching
From the age of 2 1/2, Yolanda attended the Janice Marshall Stage School and gained Advanced Foundation Level in RAD Ballet and Intermidiate Level in ISTD Modern.
She then studied at Dance For All Theatre School in Edinburgh graduating with a HND in Professional Stage Dance Performance. During this time she also gained her ISTD Teaching Qulification.
Street Dance & Stretching
In 2017, Aimee graduated from Dance Studio Scotland, securing an A Grade for both HND & HNC Dance Artist Qualifications. A highlight of Aimee's college experience was when her HND graded unit piece of choreography was selected to be performed in the departments end of year showcase at the Mitchell Theatre. During her final year, Aimee visited New York City, where she learned from some of the industry's leading professional dancers at the Broadway Dance Center and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
While studying at college, Aimee's experience and interest as a community dancer developed immensely. She started by teaching for private dance schools and primary schools. She then became more versitile through her work with the Scottish Ballet Elders Company, South Lanarkshire Council (adult community learning), and Tomorrow's Women (female ex-offenders at risk of re-offending).
In 2018, Aimee graduated from Edinburgh College with a First Class B.A (Hons) Degree in Dance. Immediatley after graduating, she secured a full time position with YDance as a trainee Dance Artist. This experience developed Aimee into the well-rounded dance artist that she is today.
Louise started dancing at the age of 11 at the Janice Marshall Stage School and gained her Advanced 1 RAD Ballet with Distinction and also her ISTD Intermidiate Foundation Modern and Silver Award in Modern with an A.
Louise then went on to study at Ballet West for 4 years and graduated with a B.A (Hons) in Dance. During her four years at Ballet West, Louise toured Scotland performing in various productions including Romeo & Juliet, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. She was also chosen to go on tour in China with Romeo & Juliet in her first year.
Louise was Dance Captain when she performed at Disneyland (Paris), Royal Albert Hall (London) and throughout her time at Ballet West.
Lousie loves teaching and hopes to pass on her knowledge and love for dance to the next generation of dancers.
